Brazil's Top iOS Investing Apps in Q4 2020: A Performance Snapshot

In the fourth quarter of 2020, the investing and financial management app landscape on iOS in Brazil saw varied performance across top applications. Sensor Tower's data offers insights into the download and active user trends for these leading financial tools.

IQ Option observed a declining trend in both downloads and weekly active users during Q4. Downloads decreased from roughly 16K in the last week of September to about 5K by mid-December, while active users slid from 95K to 60K in the same period.

For XP Investimentos, the trend was more stable. Downloads hovered around 5-6K weekly, with a noticeable increase to over 7K in the final week of December. Weekly active users showed a positive trajectory, growing from 120K to 130K over the quarter.

IQ Broker experienced significant volatility in Q4. Starting with around 1K downloads in the week of September 28, a dramatic spike occurred in mid-December, with downloads soaring to over 14K. Active users reflected this surge, jumping from approximately 7K to 37K in the same timeframe.

Investing.com: Stock Market showed a mixed pattern. Downloads remained relatively steady, ranging from 2-3K weekly, with a peak of over 2.6K in mid-December. Revenue had notable fluctuations, with a high of $446 in late November and dipping to $17 by year's end. Active users saw a slight decline from nearly 60K to 54K throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Binomo saw a gradual increase in downloads, starting at 3.5K in late September and climbing to over 3K by the end of December. Weekly active users also rose from 5K to 4.5K, suggesting a growing interest in the platform during this period.
